Dear PayPal,

I'm getting this error message with both of my cards for any of merchants.

The account is old and verified. More of that, I've made a lot of payments with one of the cards for these merchants before without any problems.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance for any help.

.

Hi, same problem.

Till yesterday the option "Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice" worked fine on my account, but today if I choose this option I get the message "You cannot use this credit card for this transaction. Please use another funding source." I linked a new credit card but this did not worked either... same message. The only way I can send payment is if I choose the paypal conversion system, which is not an option for me.

Does anybody have a clue of what's happening?

I am having exactly the same problem since a few days ago.

My card denominated in Euro and now I am being forced to use paypal's currency conversion that i far more expensive than my bank... anybody has a solution for Euro cards?

I am having the same exact problem...since earlier this week. I've called twice and one person said it would be working again immediately. It wasn't, and when I called back someone else told me something entirely different as the source of the problem, and that it would be working the next day. It still isn't working days later.

Being a Paypal customer for almost 16 years now, I'm quite disappointed in this.

Thank you for all your answers. The problem is resolved.

Looks like PayPal "thought" that both my cards in a currency other than dollars.
In this case the error appears when I try to make the payment in USD for USD invoices.

As soon as I changed the cards to a "native" currency the error disappeared.

Their support is changed my cards currency to USD (as they are actually) and now I'm happy 🙂

Thank you again

Same problem. I can't fix it. Everything worked fine before. But for about a week the switch button "Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice." doesn't work. Paypal forces me to convert using thier very disadvantageous conversion tool.

Do we have always write to their support to fix the problem?

I called their help line and the lady on the phone didn't quite understand the problem. After 30 minutes I still had no solution. I resorted to writing an email, with specific explanations, and I'm waiting for a reply. Fyi, my card is denominated in € and I cannot directly pay any other currency.

I solved this probmel just calling them by phone.

It took me just 2 minutes.

Just call and say: I want to change the currency of the card ***XXXX to USD or EUR.

It will be changed immidiately.

It is the only way for today!
