Yesterday, I had a friend request money from me. I sent it. Shortly afterwards, I got a text saying her account was suspicious and asked me to confirm. I answered yes, and they texted back that it was authorized. But her Paypal account shows it as pending, that they're holding it for a number of days, and they're adding a service charge. I thought sending money to friends was free? But more importantly, why are they holding the money as pending? I confirmed the transaction as authorized.
I tried calling customer service, but the person barely spoke English and there was so much background noise we couldn't understand each other.
