When Do I Get My Refund?

I forgot to put the "k" in the email address when I tried to send money to my first beau, to help him get a new car and take care of his mom. I caught the mistake in time, and requested a refund, but it's been three days and the money still hasn't shown back up on my credit card. What's taking so long? It's $800 we're talking about here!

Gosh you were lucky, if that mis-spelled email address was actually a correct email address to another person then you may have lost all that money 

When you pay someone it is never instant > paypal credit them for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source.
So when you cancel that payment those funds can't do a u-turn > they have to process through to paypal who will then either return them to your funding source (if you paid with a debit or credit card), or credit your paypal balance (if it was funded from your balance or instant bank transfer), but that takes a few days and sometimes up to a week.
