I'm selling my bedroom set and the buyer wants to pay through PayPal. If he picks it up at my home, can he later dispute he never got the furniture? How do I protect myself?

Can he dispute and win? Absolutely. You would have no proof of delviery.
The only way to protect yourself to inform the buyer that you will ONLY ACCEPT CASH at time of pickup.
