Pay without PayPal Account

I'm currently setting up my test magento site and im now at Payment Method setup.. now im wondering how does paypal process those customer without paypal account? ,because as i understood paypal allows payment even if the customer doesnt have a paypal account. but how is that possible? thank you for your response

Buyers just use a credit card.

Customer are forced to create a paypal account if they dont have one. This has been the case for some time now.

No, they are not forced.  They pay as a guest.
