During checkout, did you make sure to select PayPal Credit as payment method and it still went through as bank payment or was PayPal Credit option not available at all during checkout?
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

When all of the required financial data for your creditworthiness and risk, PayPal Credit will be available and permitted for purchases. PayPal will make that determination at time of purchase based on a variety of risk factors based on you personal financial situation, the product, and the merchant.
For more certainty, just use a regular plastic credit card for purchases.

It's a common misconception, that being approved for PayPal Credit means all credit is immediately and always available. it doesn't work that way. Just wait until a promotion purchase pops up at time of a planned payment and use it. Actually, it wasn't even necessary to apply separately as the promotion offer pops up unexpected when a buyer meets all of the criteria, even before applying.

Exactly. It's better to be offered the credit than applying for it. Many folks who have applied for the credit line report problems using it so it's a security/risk management thing affecting the use. So yeah, @Chad77, just wait til it's offered or see if the credit line is available when you change the funding source during check out.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Suggest you follow these forums for a few days before PayPal. There is a lot to learn from others' experiences about so many different aspects of PayPal.

Have you had your PayPal account and PayPal Credit for long?
Sometimes transactions or patterns of transactions may trigger PayPal Credit's security model during checkout and could have affected your funding options, like switching to an alternate payment method depending on the checkout flow. PayPal Log in or clicking PayPal Credit like you did.
I suggest that in the future when you attempt to make a purchase with PayPal Credit is to ensure you have a back up source that can cover your purchases in case it doesn't go through on PayPal Credit. And/or checkout via PayPal log in instead (Walmart.com has that capability) and see if the option to use PayPal Credit method is available to you or not on review your information page, that way you can switch to alternate source or back out of the transaction. PayPal reserves the right to restrict your ability to use PayPal Credit depending on the circumstances of each purchase.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
