Which is the best/cost effective option? Changing my primary currency or paying the international transaction fees? I dont want to lose more money than I need to so Im not sure which is the smartest way to go. Im assuming changing the primary currency on my account/cards. Please advise!

Why not just use your local currency?
If you accept your local currency you don't need to be concerned about currency exchange rates.

My local currency is USD but I am traveling to Europe so I will be charged international transaction fees when I make purchases abroad.
