Funds on Hold - Need immediately

Hi, Today I transferred money that I had held in a family members account to my new PayPal account. I put it as goods & services because the card the money was held on didn't have enough to pay the fee. Now it says it may be available in up to 7-14 Days. I added my S.S number & confirmed my Phone #. When it says "Confirm your identity", it always says there was an issue, Please contact customer support. And as usual I get the bot, never a real person. I need these funds immediately.

You kinda painted yourself in a corner by sending as G&S payment.   Was there no bank account linked in your family member's account?  You could have used bank account with card as backup to get the full amount instantly.  Issue a refund back to your fam account.  Then in your fam account, Send Money again as F&F payment to your account funded entirely with bank account.

From PayPal FAQs:

"You can make a personal payment to anyone in the U.S. for free. Just make sure that you pay for the entire payment using your PayPal balance or bank account."

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

You immediate need is irrelvant to the PayPal resolution.

How do you have access to another person's account?  Is your name and address on that account?  What addressess are on the accounts.

You sent money from the other account to your own account as goods/ services.  This means you will pay a fee to receieve the money.  As goods and services PayPal expects you to ship goods to the the person paying.

What identity information is the same on both accounts? It seems that there is a problem with documentation submitted that doesn't match with what is on your account or it represents the other account.

If you can't resolve the problem with correct documentation your account could be limited until resolved.  If there is something really suspicious, the other account could also be in jeopardy.

More explanation is needed about the two accounts.
