Does the new PayPal Debit card work the same way previous did?

 My previous PayPal Debit card allowed me to make purchases with a zero balance and the required funds would be transferred from my bank out to PayPal. That card is no longer valid. Does the new debit card work the same way?

I have the PayPal Cash Debit MasterCard.

The PayPal Cash debit card doesn't have the ability to use a bank account as a back up funding option in case of a zero balance in your PayPal account.

You say there are many PayPal Debit cards. Is there one that works like my previous card? Why was I sent Cash card and previous card cancelled

You may have had the PayPal Business debit card before. You would have to contact PayPal support about those issues you mentioned.

The PayPal Cash debit card has new features like direct deposit and the ability to cash checks with your phones camera. There are also free ATM withdrawals.
