Sending Money to Friends - Fees

When I used Classic Site to send money to friends, I had the option of paying the fee or letting the recipient pay the fee. My payments are automatically debited from a checking account.

Classic Site is no longer available (or I can't find it) and I now have to back into the payment amount by deducting the fee from the gross amount so recipient receives the equivalent amount after the fee.

Any suggestions on how to revert to paying the old way?

Well if its not an international transaction and you are funding it via funds in your paypal balance OR instant bank transfer then it is free if you are using the ''friends / family'' option.

You only pay a fee if you use a debit or credit card.

Ah ok, that would be why then.

Paypal seem to have got rid of the classic site now as its disappeared from my account also.
