Paypal credit not working on ebay

Hi, my Paypal credit isn't working on an Ebay purchase I am making. I am trying to purchase a camera and lens bundle package. I used the apply for Paypal credit tab and was accepted with a $2,500 credit limit. Every time I go to the payment page for the camera it gives me three options: 1. Pay with Paypal 2. Apply for Paypal Credit (which I have already done) and 3. Pay with credit/debit. After I applied and was approved for Paypal Credit, the payment page then said the paypal credit can not be used on that purchase, though on the product's main ebay page it says it qualifies for Paypal Credit. This is literally the only time I will use Paypal Credit, and if it isn't going to work I am going to just cancel my account. Thanks.

I think PayPal Credit works best when you apply for it at time of purchase.

What is the price of the item you are attempting to buy?  It does make a difference when you are using a new PayPal Credit account that was opened independently.  PayPal Credit seems to want the buyer to build a credit history.  Even though have a limit of $2,500 it doesn't mean you can use a high amount onthe first purchase.  From what I've read from comments by PayPal, it's best to start with smaller purchases and then later you can go for larger amounts, the total can't go over our limit for now.

I've used Bill Me Later/PayPal Credit for serveral years without a problem.

I'm having the same issue. I've been using Paypal Credit for years and all of a sudden now it will not allow me to select it as an option during eBay checkout. It's completely greyed out and claims:

  • A seller isn’t eligible to accept PayPal Credit
  • You’re buying an item sold in a currency that is not supported
  • You have a PayPal Smart Connect or PayPal Extras MasterCard linked to your PayPal account

None of which is accurate. Called Paypal who blames eBay; called eBay who blames Paypal. Still can't get any answers. I have more than enough credit for purchases.
