Hello all , I just tried to use the paypal here swipe card and it would not swipe. I have a Lenovo Tablet A10-70 and the device fit in the opening of the tablet. When I went to swipe it wouldn't "connect". I kept trying to connect the swipe and it wouldn't connect. I was able to enter the credit card info manually, but it was a painful cumbersome experience.
Is it fair to say that the swipe is not compatible with a table device? And only works with smartphones?

Hi Chicago48,
You can use iOS (iPhone 3GS and later) devices running iOS version 6.0 and later and iPad devices running iOS version 6.0 and later, as well as Android smartphones and select Android tablets.
An Android device running PayPal Here will need to have:
• Android version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later
• 3.5 mm headset jack with microphone
• Support for Location Services
• Internet access (via WiFi or cellular data network)
PayPal Here is supported on many Android tablets. See the list below for some of the compatible devices:
• Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10”
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7”
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10”
• Samsung Nexus 10”
• Samsung Galaxy Note 10”
No worries if your tablet isn’t shown; a quick app download and reader test will indicate whether PayPal Here works with your tablet. We recommend doing this prior to purchasing a new device just to be sure it is compatible. You may also want to try disconnecting and reconnecting the card reader if you run into difficulties. You can find more helpful tips here.

Ashley -- the PP Here is downloaded to my Tablet. I am able to use Paypal online but I have to manually enter the credit card information. When I went to connect the PP Here swipe, it would not connect.
My question is -- does it ONLY work with a smart phone that has Android, or does the swipe work with Tablets with Android? If it works with tablets, why didn't my swipe connect?

I use the blue tooth chip card reader with a Samsung Tab S2; it works fine and the app works well including inventory and bar code scans. I haven't use the trinagle swiper on this, but only on an Android smartphone. I have used a FirstData Clover plug-in chip card reader on the tablet and it worked fine.
How recentlyly did you uninstall and re-install the app? That may take care of some issues.
Does the triangle swiper work on other devicies? Has it worked in the past? It could be defective, but unlikely.
What version Android are you running?
