The bluetooth reader (connected to Samsung Android tablet) used to go into sleep mode when idle for a period of time. This had a known issue of failure to re-connect to tablet upon wake up.
Last week I installed the required pushed update on the reader and all went wel.
This, however, might have introduced a new problem. Yesterday the reader would not go into sleep mode even when idle for an hour. This meant it stayed connected to the device--good. On the other hand, it meat the reader drained the battery very quickly and only lasted for about 5 hours rather than 8 hours or more.
Has anyone else had this experience?
I do have an email request into PayPal, but it will take a couple days and the answer isn't urgent today. I'll post back when I do get more information.
