Payment taken from my account to paypal does not show up on paypal

Hello

On my bank statement on the 10th of February there is an outgoing payment to paypal. However this is not reflected in my paypal statement.

Earlier payments are reflected both on my bank statement and my paypal statement.

There is a letter/number ID on the statement.

My bank tells me it is the real paypal.

Paypal customer service directed me to the resolution centre.

I went to the resolution centre and I can not even select the payment as there is no payment for 10th of February.

It's been over a week now. What should I do? Any help appreciated!

Did you pay as a guest buyer using paypal?

This is when you pay to a sellers paypal account but you don't log in to pay you just use a debit or credit card?

If that was the case it would not show on your paypal account summary page.

This is likely to be the case, yes. I will be sure not to use this method again until I understand it fully. Is there a way for me to see where that money has gone to?

The place where I would have thought it would have gone to shows no incoming amount. Also I did not pay money on that day. That, I remember.

I am probably going to contact this company to see if they recognise the payment sent on the 10th of February, however I realise I am coming to them with only my bank statement payment to paypal and no proof within my paypal statement.

I have gone through my statement and accounted for everything except this payment which exited my bank account to paypal on the 10th of February and has not turned up anywhere else.

The only information I have on this payment is that it is the same amount as I did pay earlier (which has been accounted for) but this Feb 10th amount is not accounted for anywhere else.

Is there any way whatsoever to find out who this money was paid to?

You realise the date is probably incorrect??

When you pay someone its not instantly transfered from your funding sources and the date it leaves your bank account etc is not always the actual date of the purchase.

Can you google the company and see if you recognise it?

Hello again

I have since got the proof from the only company that I paid a similar amount to around the February 10th time, that the payment I have been talking about is not to them. What this means is that this payment is still unallocated and as surprising to me now as it was when I first saw it.

To reiterate, the only information I have about this payment is the date (which we know is probably incorrect) and an ID which I believe is related to the fact that it is direct debit (there is 'DD' next to it). There is an allocated payment next to it with the same ID.

If there is any way for me to find out from paypal where this money went I would be hugely grateful. If not, then I will be forced to accept this as a very expensive lesson since I have completely exhausted all other possibilities.
