PayPal Credit not working

Hello, so everytime I use paypal credit I get this message "Looks like we're unable to authorize your purchase using PayPal Credit with the option to buy now and pay later. But you can still use PayPal to choose another payment method." Can anyone tell me whats going on?

I have been having the same problem - over and over, starting in October 2015.

I have absolutely no idea why this is happening after I have been using PayPal Credit for years without problems, ever having missed a payment, have a zero balance, and available balance in the thousands.

I have called in - over and over. Every time, the same ordeal: Well, we can't tell you what it is about, but it's about security. We need to ask you a few questions. The questions I was asked (each time the same set of questions!) could have been pulled from any public record and did nothing whatsoever to verify that I am me.

And every time I am being told that it takes 5-7 days for the security check to be performed. Useful, really useful for when you want to make an eBay purchase.

I know no one can help me here, and that's ok. I just want to put this here so that others know they are not alone with this incredible nonsense that comes along with being treated like a criminal.
