Hi There,
So I recently was shopping on eBay this morning and noticed that PAD is gone, this is the first time that PAD was not showing on eBay for me which is really strange since it's been there for years.
Also I noticed PAD is no longer Avaiable for me at BestBuy, Walmart, and Newegg which those three companies did offer it before and it was a great convience. PAD is activated on my account.
On the Lyft issue, I use my Paypal account to pay for my lyft rides and all was fine untill recently when the Lyft app tells me its rejecting Paypal as a payment method. Nothing has changed and just randomly the Lyft app was rejecting Paypal as a payment so I have to use my Debit card now. It seems iffy as this morning it was working fine but then in the afternoon it was rejecting my Paypal account, I checked my account and everything seems normal.
Whats going on? Is there some system problem?

There is some bug going around bout payments not going through via mobile at various websites that have PayPal integrated, that could be the same cause. Not sure what's being done about it.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Well ok so there is a bug...what's being done to fix it? Because for those of us people who don't use cc, or bank accts for debit card use, prepaid cards aren't accepted and PayPal is the only option for some people who are without transportation. So I guess I'm a bit concerned with the answer you've given Because call me crazy, but it sounds a bit lazy and like you don't plan on doing a thing about it?
@Came2terms, don't bark at me about it, I don't work for them. Call PayPal customer service and ask them. I am a PayPal user, like you. Don't have access to people's accounts or the backend technical stuff. I voluntarily chat here in the user forum and answer other users questions if I know the answer.
I hear reports from other users on here that the PAD feature comes and goes is all. There are plenty of posts about it. Available for a time, then not. If you call customer service, they may be able to make an adjustment to re-enable PAD for you.
Some prepaid cards are accepted. You just have to register the card at the website on back of the card so the card account can be managed; to add money, check balances/activity and receive refunds on the card. PayPal is all about verification. Cards require verification. If the prepaid card registration info matches your PayPal account owner info, it can be linked to your PayPal account.
There are options if you do not use bank accounts, debit or credit cards. Did you know that PayPal have their own prepaid card? And you can even apply for PayPal's own debit card if you have a premier account or business account that deducts from your available PayPal balance and can assign a backup funding source to it. Or use PayPal My Cash as another option.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
