Hi everyone! I'm trying to help someone and I need more information. Why would a payment status read "inactive"?
Thanks for any and all feedback! I can't find anything from PayPal with this specific status and can't seem to get a real person.

Certainly! The screenshot you posted is hosted in the Profile, which is a list of various settings on your account. A list of payments that have been sent are kept separately in your History.
This particular page is a list of billing agreements, subscriptions, and preapproved payments that you have signed up for in the past, but not of the payments themselves. Think of this like a list of every newspaper or magazine you've ever subscribed to. An inactive status here essentially means the subscription is cancelled.
To continue the metaphor, if this is a list of any subscription you've ever had, the payments themselves would be the individual magazine issues. Those are in your History page. While I know the screenshot above does have a section labeled "last billed amount," that isn't the payment itself - it's just a record of the last time you were billed and how much.
Thanks!
Adrian

Welcome to the Community!
At this time, we don't have a payment status of "inactive," though we do have some similar terms - cancelled, denied, expired, failed, refused, returned, reversed, unclaimed. Each of them can mean something different; if you click on "View More Status Types" at the bottom of the History page, it will pop up a glossary of all available terms.
If your friend is adamant they're seeing "inactive" in their History section, the Community may need to know more about what is going on to provide a good answer. Have your friend show you were they are seeing it and get back with the members.
Thanks!
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
I would love to be able to agree with you, since that would be a logical option. However, I have a screenshot that proves otherwise and I would like a solid answer and cannot seem to get help from you support team. Can you advise as to why this is showing in this manner?
