Can I Receive a Refund?

I recently sent a payment as a guest, using a prepaid gift card and PayPal placed a pending status on it and stated that it is currently being reviewed and should only take about 72 hours. Although, it has already past 72 hours and has almost been 5 days and the company I wanted to buy from has not received the payment. So, I would like to receive a refund for my payment. P.S. : I sent an email to PayPal and all I received was topics they thought I needed to look at instead of actually reading what I wrote.

Is the prepaid gift card registered with the website on the back of the card?  Prepaid gift cards can sometimes be a problem for PayPal as they need verification.  If you registered the card and the name and address of registration matches the name and address supplied at check out, it may make the verification process through PayPal go without a hitch.  Food for thought.
