Anyone else have issues with purchasing through Xsolla using PayPal Credit?

I have been trying to buy Escape from Tarkov and everytime I go through the payments it tells me it couldn't be processed. Their customer support claimed that PayPal hadn't authorized the purchase though. I have more than enough credit for the purchase so I'm just generally confused as how to go about this.

Maybe it's a security issue with the merchant.  Maybe it's the type of product.

What it the merchant and what is the product?

The product is a pre-order of a video game called Escape from Tarkov.
The producer is Battlestate Games and the payment is entirely through Xsolla.
I did contact Xsolla and they told me for security reasons they couldn't say much other than that PayPal didn't authorize the purchase, but I can't find any reason for PayPal to have done so. I have almost double the credit available for it, all of my information is current and verified, etc. I have sent an email to them and await a reply, but it doesn't hurt to see if this isn't just something I run into.
