I live in Canada but my Paypal account is in US dollars. When I receive money from the UK is sits in my account showing as British Pounds. Can I set up my account so that the money is converted to US dollars as soon as it is received into my Paypal account?

Hi Dancewithmarq,
Once you add a new currency to your PayPal account it allows you to receive payments in more than one currency and choose when and/or if you want to convert them to another currency. As such, PayPal will not convert the funds automatically. The only other option we have is to close a currency balance which would allow you to manually accept or deny any new payments made in that currency. To close a currency please follow these steps:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Profile at the top of the page.
- Click My money.
- Click Currencies.
- Select the currency you want to close.
- Click Close Currency.
