possible ebay refund scam.

so i bought a thing from ebay. 

that thing was not as described in the picture i talked to the seller he has agreed to give me a refund.

he has given me (assuming) his paypal and told me to request a refund from that paypal account.

 

is their anything i should be looking out for in this scenario is what im getting at. can any scams come from this and if it is can and will paypal step in?

I don't know about a scam, but it surely isn't right.

All he has to do is go to the transtion line for the product and click on the refund option.

 

If he fails to do that you could file a PayPal dispute.

 

Sending a request for payment to his PayPal email addres could work; the risk is on his end as you could still file a dispute.

also i made a paypal account AFTER i made this purchase and from what i can see.

paypal doesnt see this.

PayPal only records transactions when they are made with your PayPal account.
