Invoice emails not being sent

Hi

I have a Paypal business account and have sent invoices to several customers using a batch invoice (so all the customers were sent an identical invoice, except for the reference number).  But some of the invoices have not arrived at recipients' email address.  Each invoice was for £35. When I look on the Paypal 'invoicing' tab, the unpaid invoices are listed as being sent and unpaid, with all details correct.  But when I look on the paypal 'summary' tab, the unpaid invoices are shown to have been created for $0.00 (rather than £35).  Does anyone know what is going on here?

I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm not sending them as batch invoices, but I send several invoices a day, and as of yesterday only a few were actually received by the customers. The invoices that weren't recevied still show sent (for the correct dollar amount) on my end, but under the "summary" tab & mobile app it shows they were sent for $0. I found another thread from 2011 when folks were experiencing the same issue & they said "reminders" were being received by the customer, but not the initial invoice. Would love an answer/expected fix soon!

Hi LSRA,

This morning I had virtually the same problem. I invoiced a single customer for £560 which was correctly shown in GBP on the PayPal "Invoicing" tab but on the "Summary" tab was shown as $0.00 USD. I have contacted PayPal support who notified me that they are looking at the problem but I have not had an explanation of the "glitch" yet. My main concern is that my customer may have received a 0.00 invoice and it will look so unprofessional if I have to invoice them again. I am hoping this problem does not occur with other PayPal invoices I am due to issue.

Are you guys getting an email from PayPal that says you sent a PayPal invoice?  If you received that, there is a link in that email called, "See the invoice as your recipient sees it".  Copy that link to a new email with a message and email it to your client as a temporary work around.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Same here, sent invoices, notifications for which showed up in my inbox but the client never received anything. Paypal told me they're aware of the problem which arose after an update, they're working on it, and they'll send an email when the send invoice service is back up and running. They would not give any estimated time to completion.

I come here today hoping to find some update because I just want and need my money. I find zippity info but four other people -- only four? -- having the same issue.

Paypal, can't we have some sort of estimate?

And, Paypal, I really do wish you'd stop updating. Just about the time I get used to knowing where all the buttons are that I need to click, you come up with yet another update and I have to learn all over again. Honestly, I will happily use whatever format you'll put up long enough for me to learn it, and I'll use it till **bleep** freezes over. I just need to use your services; I'm not going to go to some other esteemed competitor of yours because you haven't changed the site recently.

Leave Paypal alone!

I'm having the same trouble. I've sent a dozen invoices within the past 24 hours, only three of them have been received and paid.

I called PayPal this morningand was told that it could take up to 72 hours to fix this issue. The "customer service" representative suggested that I send money requests in lieu of invoices, and then cancel the invoices when the customer receives their order. Huh???  What about the PayPal Buyer/Seller Prootections? My customers (and I) want itemized invoices.

I waited about 30 minutes and called again. This time I spoke with a real customer service rep who told me this was a systerm wide problem. He said it could take up to 24 hours for the invoices to go through, but most were going through quicker than that. He told me it was important that I call PayPal when this happens so that they can work on a fix. It also prioritizes your account in the "fix" queue.

So, bottom line, until this glitz is resolved, my advice is to spend a little bit of time on the phone and give PayPal a call.
