How do I get money from sale?

I sold an iten on ebay and have paypal set up. I got an email stating I would have to wait 21 days because account was just opened (not correct as I have had paypal for over a year). Then got email from paypal stating the money was in my account, waiting to be used and if not used in 6 weeks, it would be sent back to sender.  I mailed sold item two days ago but do not see anywhere that the money has been sent or is in my account. Any ideas on what to do?

Sorry but that does not sound like a paypal email, are you sure it was not a spoof?

If the payment was unclaimed it would return to the buyer at 30 days but never heard of 6 weeks?

Was it an international transaction eg Nigeria or similar.
