Buyer did Receive Tracking number still says shipped

I had my first sale everything went as well as expected... except the tracking number still says "shipped" while the buyer has already contacted me to let me know they were pleased with the purchase. I still haven't received payment? What do I do?

Hope the buyer does not file a dispute for non-receipt.

Did you hand it to  postal service person for scanning or did you just drop it of and hope it got scanned?
