Buyer Protection Issues

ANyone else have major issues with PayPal's Buyer Protection.  I've had two cases up and "closed" by PayPal around one disreputable seller on FaceBook.  One case that was closed was due to not receiving three items from this vendor located in Shanghai China but deceives FaceBook users thinking they're in Canada due to currency conversion from US to CAD.  Their "easy return" policy mandates sending registered mail to a provence in SHanghai China, costing more than $25 US!.  So not only didn't I receive one package of 3 items, it cost me more to return the one item I did receive.  PayPal, through their Buyer Protection escalation, "investigated" and closed the case.  Took the word of this horrific vendor that has over 1,000 complaints into the BBB and International Commerce Association over my 15 years of impeccable membership.  My first and only issues in over 15 years.  Anyone ever get a positive BP response?

PayPal buyer protection is very clear.  You have very good protection for item not received.  For item not as described the buyer must pay return shipping with tracking.  It's important to understand this risk before making a purchase.

It is buyer's responsibility to investigate seller before making a purchase.  If there are questions about the seller, then ask them; make a phone case to verify seller if that becomes necessary.

PayPal BP policy is buyers are required to return item but are responsible for return shipping for SNAD (Not as Described) disputes, if PayPal find in favor of the buyer.  However, PayPal has a return shipping reimbursement program that you must activate first.  You can activate it by going to the bottom of the Benefits & Offers page from the main account menu at the top when you log in.

Try going to the closed cases list and appeal or reach out to PayPal customer service to appeal.  If you filed a SNAD claim, you should have been instructed to return the item(s).

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thank you. It's deceitful for a vendor to not disclose the encumbered process of having to send a return registered to Shanghai China. Their website gives every reason to believe they are a North American company. The second case involved not receiving the shipment altogether. PP accepted this deceitful company's "link" to tracking. I never received it and am dumbfounded PP closed the case without any proof

what tracking number did they give Paypal?

there is not much you can do,there is no law which said they have to state return item t o China and not Canada.

you can try filing chargeback with your cc issuer and tell them they misled you and see if you can win without retunring item t o China
