i purchased a steam game for $30 then later removed the debit card i used to pay for the game because it had expired, and forgot to add a new one. Then after realised i didnt like the game i decided to refund it, and i got a recipt that said the funds went back into the card used to make the purchase... the card that i removed. the funds are not in my paypal nor my bank account. Adding the old card back didnt do anything
If you funded the original paypal payment to the seller with a debit or credit card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.
Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your bank account or credit card but takes up to a week to process through to the bank and a bit longer for a c.c (paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine).
