I'm very new as a seller and just starting out. I only want to accept Paypal for payment, however, I just sold an item today where the buyer from a different country is asking permission to pay with a credit card. How can I deny this and is there any way I can prevent this from happening again?

Hi sweetangel95969,
Welcome! 🙂
If you have a Premier or Business account, there is a way to block international PayPal accounts in your PayPal account settings. You can find this by logging into your PayPal account, then:
- Click Profile in the white bar located under the blue tabs. You can click on Profile or More Options in the drop down menu.
- Next click My Selling Tools on the left hand side of the page.
- Then find the row labeled Block Payments and click Update on the right side of the page.
- Towards the bottom of the next page, you'll see the option to Block payments from users who: Have non-U.S. PayPal accounts
If you have a Business account, there are also Risk Controls you can set that would allow you to block specific countries while allowing others. That setting is just above the Block Payments section on the profile page. Look for "Managing risk and fraud".
I hope this helps! 🙂
