Using Merchant account ID

I want to know how to get money using the Merchant account ID. There are some people who owe me money but I do not want to give them my phone number/email address...I've heard through the grapevine of their prank attempts at hacking and ID theft.

As an experiment, the other day I asked my sister to send me a small amount. She has a personal account, not a premiere or business account. She said that she received a warning message saying that she needed to enter a valid email address. Several times the payment did not go through using the Merchant account ID but it went thru fine when she entered my email address.

Its not that I wanted her $2, I just want to figure out how I can use the Merchant account ID.

The Merchant Account ID is "only" used with PayPal's Item Button Code.  You cannot use it for other functions like the Send Money feature.

If someone were to send you money using the Send Money feature, they "must" have the "email address" of the receiver.
