Regarding Chip Card Reader

1) After buying the Chip Card Reader, what does one have to do in order to get the $100 refund?  I understand about the 3K within 3 months but, do we have to fill out a form or something like that? or, is it something that will just happen and a credit in our accounts will show up after we meet the requirement?

2) When will PayPal replace the merchants' MasterCard Business Debit cards with ones with chip?

3) In the event of problems with the device, who do we call? if after troubleshooting over the phone doesn't do anything, what kind of warranty do these devices have?

4) what's the expected life cycle of this chip card reader?

5) if the chip card reader is out of stock, will the merchant be liable for fraudalent transactions?

TIA for your attention.

I received my chip card reader, but I have not been successful in getting it to work. It pairs with the bluetooth on my phone just fine, but I can't get it to link up with my app. The PayPal support folks think it mught be because I'm using a slightly older phone (Samsung Galaxy 4). Anybody else having this problem? It burns my biscuits to think I might have to get  anew phone to use it.

Did you try uninstalling and re-installing the PayPal Here app?  That fixed a totally different problem I had when the recent sales data wouldn't display on my phone app.

I'd like to know why we are paing $150 for this and then hope we get enough sale to get $100 back. Tha'ts absolute BS. Most people that use PayPal don't do this much. If they did, they would have their own merchant account. Just offer it for $49 so we all benifit. I'm thinking of going to Square. They only charge $49 for theirs out right. I can't afford to spen $150 on this and PaPal is penalizing me for that.
