Received a different address from buyer?

I recently sold a product on a community forum and received payment. I created a shipping label through Paypal with the verified address, but later on the forum from where I sold the item he sends me a different address. I then asked if I should void the label which is allowed within 48 hours and create a new label with the new address he gave me. He has yet to respond, but I know he recently was at the website and saw the message and he did not reply?

My questions are if I void the shipping label and create new one from an address that is not his verified address, can he come back later and claim I cancelled the shipment and ripped him off?

Secondly, if he does not respond within tjhe 48 hours, should I proceed to ship to his Paypal verified address?

Than you.

Unfortunately this can go wrong both ways.  You can ship to the confirmed address and he can say never recieved or you can ship to the other address and the same thing can happen.  Best of the two would be to ship to the confirmed address. If you have the funds in your Account Balance, ship the item.

I figured that might be the case. If he contacts me and says to ship to the new address I feel like I don't really have a choice here. I've sold quite a few things on this forum, but everytime their Paypal information was what it should be. I may just be looking to deep into this....or I should just void the shipping label now and ship to the address he gave me. What did I just get myself into?

If the buyer is honest, you're good to go.  I try to think the glass is half full.

I went ahead and printed a new shipping label with the information he gave me on the community forum which is kind of scary because when I edited the address from what he has as his verified address it says I no longer have seller protection because I'm not using his verified address. Fingers crossed! I also voided the original label. If worst comes to worst, I'll show Paypal the communications I had with him, thanks for the pep talk.

NO NO NO

DO NOT ship to anything but the Seller Protection Address

IF buyer has moved, all you have to do is to Refund him and he adds the new address to PayPal and pays again.

This is what you  should have done.

1.) cancel the postage

2.)  refunded the payment and have the buyer add the new address to his paypal account.  The buyer then can request another invoice

3.) The new payment should have the new address on it and stating "good to ship"

4.) print the shipping postage to the new address
