New shipping label printer only prints barcode - missing all of the address information?

Prior to now I've used the 1/2 sheet labels for printing my postage. I have a new Brother QL-700 series label printer that is supposed to work great with the QL-550 settings.

I tried to print my first label and instead of getting the 8" long label that everyone shows examples of, I got just the barcode portion with the Priority mail "P" and tracking number.  All of the to/from address information was omitted. I noticed that was how it was in the preview as well.

Is this normal?  How do I get the full label?

You need to setup the default page size for that printer so it knows that its printing to 2.3 x8 instead of letter size.

the tell tale sign is that it does not show the whole lable in the preview.

you should find this in printer setup or possibly page setup.

Please let me know if this works for you, Im thinking of buying this printer and would like to know the results.

Unfortunately, just changing the page size doesn't work (for me at least) on my QL-570. For some unfathomable reason Acrobat insists that my labels include a 1 inch border all the way around, and doesn't give me the option to change it.

This update to the shipping system is worthless for several reasons ...

Now I have to select which printer I'm going to use, since it defaults to my system's default inkjet printer instead of my Brother label printer which it's always done for the past 7 years.

It won't actually print properly on my Brother label printer because of the stupidity of not allowing the margin size to be changed in Acrobat.

It takes LONGER to do shipping now than it did BEFORE the change AND the results are worse.

This change is only second in horribleness to the "New PayPal" that I've tried twice and both times gone back to the "Classic" version. (And don't get me started on the completely worthless Android app.)
