Help! Payment went to an inaccessible account!

The old PayPal account I have I can't access due to me switching debit card numbers and not inputting it into PayPal. Anytime I loggin it says I have to input my entire card number, but I don't have my previous card number. Shame, but I don't know how I can get that number since my bank does not have any record of it.

Now, I solid something on Ebay but the payment went to my old paypal for some reason even though my new paypal is linked. I would like to get those funds however I obviously can not due to the account being "locked" I guess.

Any solutions....?

Sorry that you're having such issues with your payment.:(

To address your concerns in reverse order, even though you added your new PayPal account to your eBay account, did you update the email address your auction payments go to? If you go to the item that you sold, where the payment went to the old account, and select the option that says 'Sell a Similar item' and go through that process, it'll tell you the email address that payments are going to. I suspect you'll find your old email there.  You'll need to update that for future auctions.

As for the payment that went to the wrong place, your best option is going to be to contact our customer service. You can either call us, send us a Tweet, or a private message on Facebook. We'll be happy to explore options for verifying your identity to get you back into the account. 🙂
