I'd like to be able to get donations from people I play with in an MMO called EVE Online, in order to pay for our guild website, teamspeak, and other serivces we all use, without them seeing my Personal PayPal Information like my name.
Can I use our guild name as a DBA legally without having to resigster the guild as an actual business?
If you want a real dba name you should reister the name for the business. Before registering a dba with your state department of revenue you will first need a real business name registered. Your state department of revenue should be able to help and that would get you to the point of collecting sales taxes for you in-state sales.
