Customer files a dispute, money gone while he gets the item

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this topic, I'm new so sorry if it is.

I had an eBay customer who filed a dispute against me because the item was faulty, so I had him send back to the manufacturer for a replacement. I clearly explained to him how long the return shipping to the manufacturer and back to him will take, but he raised the dispute to a claim, just because he couldn't wait. I provided him the tracking info as soon as I got it, but Paypal already took my $200 and gave it to him. I'm very sure the item would've arrived by now, but since it's shipped via China Post, the tracking info has not updated yet (very slow like always) to prove it's been delivered. The case has already been closed for a few days, now the customer gets both my money and the item. **bleep**, is an understatement of my feelings now towards Paypal. Is there anyway I could get my money back?

hi! during a claim the money is not on your account neither on the account of the buyer, it is for paypal. once the claim is closed, paypal makes the disicion. did you get an email saying you lost the claim????

itf trackingnumber shows delivery, contact paypal again. if not, contact the shipping agent and file a claim for the item!!! if the item is not received by the buyer, YOU are still the owner of the package:)

Yes I received an email saying I lost the claim. But the thing is I'm pretty sure the buyer has already received the item. I sent an email informing the buyer that I would like my money back but it seems like he's ignoring it

If you lost the claim, unfortunately you're stuck.  Once a claim is closed, it cannot be reopened.  Most likely you're dealing with a not so honest buyer who knows how to work the system.

So there's no way to get my money back? Even if I contact PayPal about it?
