Please can someone help me with avoiding PayPals extortionate currency conversion fees... I'm trying to send USD over PayPal but I'm based in the UK. I have an online bank account that holds USD however I cannot deposit the USD into my PayPal balance because it automatically converts everything into GBP since I'm from the UK. Please can someone list all the ways I can avoid these currency conversion fees? There's no way businesses are using PayPal with fees this bad... Do I have to set-up a company in America and set-up an American PayPal account that I can operate from the UK? Do I have to have a friend In America operate and account for me so I can send money to people in the US? Is this literally what PayPal has come to? All methods are greatly appreciated.
