@Samster12 Yes, a couple small deposits and a withdraw of the deposits to validate the bank account during the linking process. Then you'll only get charged if you use your bank account to pay for purchases. You link your bank to verify your PayPal account. If you repeatedly link and unlink the bank account, the system will eventually have the account blocked for being linked too many times. Regarding the uncomfortable subject of unauthorized payments, note that due to the nature of the internet, unauthorized payments can occur as well as physically: walking by someone with a card scanner or reader on their person, for instance. Just maintain cyber hygiene: be careful of phishing emails and not clicking links in such emails or entering your info at fake websites, prevent computer viruses/malware/spyware, have good security of wifi/data connections, etc. If you're unsure of something, do web searches and ask questions on various social media and forums (reddit, quora, PayPal forums, etc, that discuss such topics). And should you ever encounter an unauthorized payment, either report it to your financial institution if it appears there and PayPal if the transaction appears in your PayPal account.
