Hi! @IRS @Tax so last year as a seller I’d “netted” over 20k, but I’d had a few big refunds as I sell items usually around $200-$400, so I did not get a tax form or any kind of 1099. In other words, after refunds it did NOT total 20k, therefore I did not owe. I'm seeing some wording this year saying “refunds will NOT BE NETTED OUT...” Does that mean that even if AFTER refunds, and the total is under 20k we will still be taxed? Right now I’m showing over 20k, but that’s because my refunds are being shown. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but PayPal is sort of tricking people into sending goods and services instead of friends and family on the app, so it’ll completely ruin me if I’m now going to be taxed on it. Anyway, any help is appreciated! I don’t know why they would’ve changed the rules from last year, but if they have I’m going to be ruined. I’ve got at least a couple thousand in friends and family “payments” I had to refund because they didn’t know the difference/the app layout confuses “sometime users.” PLEASE PLEASE HELP! thanks so much!
