The part where you have said I tried contacting ? has been removed so not sure who you have tried contacting but if you cannot get into your account and you have Facebook go in and look up PayPal on there and send them a message and they will help that way or ask for the contact number to call PayPal. If you do free postage you should put extra on the item price to cover it or the fees. I no longer bother selling cheaper stuff as it’s not worth with all the fees. Here in Australia EBay is encouraging buyers to pay any other way other than by PayPal so they can then charge the seller the fee that PayPal would have charged the seller. If a buyer pays via another method other than PayPal the seller pays 12.18% in final value fees, so if you are paying more than what most sellers in your country are charged then you might be being penalised for not good selling practices. Contact EBay and find out the reason why. And yes it is becoming discouraging to sell on EBay because of the fees and I have found now I seem to have to pay to promote my items otherwise they are buried even though I have a perfect selling record with no negatives or neutrals in 17 years of selling on EBay. Even though they don’t charge listing fees I feel like I am paying them through having to pay to promote my listings. Very sneaky of EBay, and very off putting. Definately a scam. If someone pays by PayPal there is never a fee to release the funds. Paypal sometimes holds the payment for 21 days if your new to PayPal but it still shows in your Paypal account as a pending payment so if there is nothing there it’s a total scam. They aren’t interested in your vehicle, only the money you send. I’d be telling them you will call the police....lol. Is the payment showing in your Paypal account? Is it showing as pending? Sometimes they hold the payment until the person at the other end has received the item or if they have put in a dispute to say they have not received the item the seller then has to provide proof of shipping which if you have not shipped it with tracking you might end up having to refund. PayPal does gave a contact number to call them direct. I reckon that would be your best option, use a different topic if it does not come up under what your putting in at the moment. I have their number in my phone address book but as I am in Australia it may be different to the one you may be given if your in another country from me. I did find it a little difficult to find the number initially but it sure was easy once I was able to get onto a human rather than trying to find the answer through their “help” pages ... View more

Yes he/she is scamming you. If you log into your PayPal account and no money is showing there then they are trying to scam you. Do not send the phone and do not send any money if they are asking for it before funds will be released. If you are worried call PayPal ... View more
