On July 11, 2019 I placed 4 claims in my Bank against Paypal for excessive uninformed charges. This means that, during June (account that I had not reviewed on my credit card) and July Paypal has been recharging my purchases in the USA with up to an additional 8%. However, when I check my PayPal account, the amount originally paid to the seller is recorded and is the same amount as stated on the receipt sent by the seller. But, GREAT SURPRISE when I check the International account of my credit card, the charge is NOT THE SAME, the charge is up to an additional 8%, for example if I paid USD 100.00 Paypal charges me USD 108.00 without any explanation. After I complained to Paypal they told me that they apply the World Bank's exchange rate ..... WHAT SENSE DOES THIS? ..... they transform the US dollars into Chilean pesos CLP according to an exchange rate and then Paypal the returns to transform to US dollars with a higher exchange rate ..... ¿¿???? DOES 1 DOLLAR IN THE USA IS DIFFERENT TO 1 DOLLAR IN CHILE? IT CONTINUES BEING THE SAME DOLLAR, only if I want to change it to the Chilean currency it has a value in pesos according to the exchange rate. But, if I buy in dollars and my card is in US dollars they DO NOT HAVE WHY TO MAKE A TRANSFORMATION. It would be different if they loaded my credit card in Chilean pesos. What they are doing is a huge deception to all Paypal users. RECOMMEND: DO NOT use any more Paypal, I will close my account once the 4 above mentioned problems have been solved. DO NOT PURCHASE when the prices are expressed IN CHILEAN PESOS ABROAD is FALSE because they are converted to US dollars, many sale portals are placing prices in Chilean Pesos, but in the end the card is charged in US dollars (USD). Be careful, that comes out more expensive than published. This merits a "journalistic investigation" to unmask the business between Paypal-eBay and the Global Shipping Program and the abuse of its "hidden" rates.
