I want to purchase a $3000 bike out of state, found it on FB marketplace. I want to purchase using Goods and Services to get the purchase protection. The seller has never sold anything using PayPal payment and not familiar with the fee that will be subtracted on his end. I have never used Goods and Services, just use PayPal for purchasing from name brand online stores. I'm really surprised I can find any examples of first timers at both ends trying to figure the fee that will be subtracted, shorting the seller 3%. It should be better explained, it just says the buyer doesn't pay a fee. If I were to send this seller $3000 he would get $2910 and have a fit. I'm thinking I should send him $3090 (3%=$90) Is this the correct logic? (we both have personal accounts)
