I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue. I got a notification today that my bank card was hit for $25 from Facebook. I have never authorized any payments from Facebook through PayPal and there is no record of the transaction on my Facebook account. I immediately reached out to my bank and to PayPal. Yet, PayPal in responding to the dispute asked no questions, they claim that they discontinued my agreement with Facebook and the denied that there was an unauthorized payment. I am beginning to think that someone inside PayPal is committing this fraud, which is why it wasn't registered with Facebook. My PayPal has been connected to Facebook for years, but their records will show there has never been an instance where I actually made a purchase on Facebook. I know it may seem like a small amount, but the size of PayPal's user database dictates that they take it seriously and stop passing the buck and blaming the customer. If there is a dispute, a conversation should have taken place, not just a message in less than 24 hours saying that there was no unauthorized payment, then what seems like a deliberate automated wall so that I can't speak to a human being about the issue. I'm am going to be pursuing this issue until I speak to a human being and they take a look at both my PayPal and Facebook purchase history and see that I didn't authorise this payment.
