No return shipping refund option

Recently I returned an item in a dispute case as prompted by Paypal. However, when I went to the original transaction on Paypal to find the return shipping refund, it is not there. There is usually a "request a refund on return shipping" link on the original transaction, however, in this case there isn't one. Hello all, just 2 quick clarifications for the return shipping refund, I understand that the max refund is $45, is that in USD? Secondly, if the return shipping is over $45, let's say $65, will I be refunded the $45 and the other $20 comes out of my own pocket?   Thanks! ... View more

Help with a very weird dispute

Hello all,   So recently, I purchased a shirt from an international seller. At first, they uploaded tracking of an item which was completely different (we will call it the dud) and was delivered to me. Of course, I filed a claim then the seller said that they did that so they could get funds quicker then added another tracking number on the Paypal transaction. I kept the case open and told them I would leave it open until the real item arrived which it has not yet. The tracking they sent me with the "real" item is untrackable by my local post (Australia Post) and it only shows up on 17Track before it arrives in Australia. They offered me a refund in the claim however I need to ship the item back. I have not even received the item nor does the tracking show I receive it so how can I solve this problem? If I ship the dud item back to the seller it won't resolve the claim will it? Hi, when I try to purchase something online, I get this error message: "We can't process your payment using your PayPal account right now. Please go back to the seller's website and try using a different payment method." I have never had this message before and all my payment methods are verified and I have more than enough funds why does this error occur and how to fix it? ... View more

I understand this, however, I am afraid due to the quarantine situation the tracking does not move in a few weeks as the post offices are very far behind schedule and are being overwhelmed. If a buyer does ask for a refund, will they have to ship the item back when they receive it before they can get a refund? Otherwise they will be able to get the money and keep the item as well which is a large loss to sellers like me.  ... View more

Hi all,   Is there any protection for sellers during this pandemic? I have sold and shipped a bunch of items out and understandably the post office is very slow and far behind schedule now. One buyer in particular has not understood this and is wanting to set up a claim to get a refund even when the item I shipped has departed my country and I have provided evidence and proof that I have shipped it. If a claim is made, will I be able to win and is proof including: tracking number, shipping label and pics of item inside the box sufficient to win the case? I had been involved in a dispute where the seller has sent me a fake item and I had escalated it to the point where I had to return the item. The item was returned to the seller, however, the seller refused to pick the item up and as a result, in the tracking number, it said delivery waiting to be collected. I had sent the item back to the seller's address which was the one Paypal gave me and provided a tracking number as well as showing a picture of the shipping label with the Paypal address on it yet my claim was denied and found to be in favour of the buyer. I had contacted a seller to refund a fake item and had made a claim. In the resolution centre, I was presented with an offer from the seller: "Offer details: The seller will send you a refund after they receive the returned item." If I send the item back will Paypal refund me automatically or will the seller be in charge of the refund? Because I have not escalated the claim to Paypal is it unsafe to return it? I am afraid that if the refund is the seller's choice, they will keep the returned item without issuing a refund then I will not be able to escalate the claim because I will not have the fake item in hand.    TIA! ... Help with tracking number dispute

I had recently set up a dispute after receiving a fake jacket and am in the stage of the dispute where I am supposed to ship back the item to the seller to get a full refund. However, the seller sent me two packages, each with different tracking numbers. The first package was sent a few days earlier and its tracking number is the one in the dispute. However, the first package contains random baby clothing which the seller sent, therefore it does not really apply to my dispute. The second package which tracking isn't listed in the disputed transaction contains the fake jacket. Which package am I meant to send back? The package correlating with the tracking number on the dispute transaction which does not contain the fake jacket or the one with the fake jacket? TIA! ... View more

Hello all,   I have purchased an item through goods and services and have requested the seller to not ship the item until 2 weeks later as I will be going overseas. The seller then claims that I have to confirm receipt in order for them to receive their money. Will I forfeit buyer protection if I do? Also if the seller ships before the two week period am I able to file a dispute as I do not want the item to come when I am overseas.   TIA ... View more
