Thank you for your post! I'm sorry to hear that you received a confusing email. Have you examined the email to make sure that it is legitimately from PayPal? It has a couple of elements that suggest that it may not be.
If the email is prompting you to enter financial information via email, or on a website that is not the PayPal.com website, it is likely a fake. If the threat of account deactivation is being made if you do not provide that information, that would be another red flag. Please review this page for more information about identifying spoof and phishing. There is also information at the bottom of the page that explains what to do if you have provided any information to a phishing site.
