@Synth7 Not if the gift card was the main funding source and covered entire purchase. There “might” be a temporary hold as back up on the credit card but once PayPal determines you have enough on gift card, the temporary hold would be released and drop off, that is, if the hold even occurs.

I have waited more than 24hrs and nothing shows up. Is there any info I need to have on hand before I contact support? Or does the sender have to take care of it?

Im trying to pay with gift cards, however one of them gives me the following message: "To use this code, please select one of these payment options". The "options" aren't displayed. So then I click the back arrow and select paypal. When I attempt to log in I receive the following message: "Error, we are unable to log you in at this time. If you think there is a problem contact us".

I'm trying to buy an item on ebay but when I try to checkout with paypal I get the following error: "unfortunately we cannot process your payment at this time, try a different payment option like the one we've selected below". What can I do? I have a credit card linked to my account. In addition, I have a paypal balance, enough to pay for the item so why am I unable to? Should I unlink my credit card and try paying just like that? Feedback in this matter will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

You're welcome. Yeah, any other functions your bank performs has nothing to do with PayPal. When you link a bank to PayPal, all it does is add money to PayPal balance or transfer to your bank as requested by you.
