Same here ... I used to get it maybe once a week but now it is EVERY SINGLE LOGIN. I use the same laptop and phone and have clicked "trust this device" multiple times. It started about a week ago and is fast becoming so irritating that I am switching to just paying via debit card I have gone to settings but it seems I cannot switch it off despite PayPal help article telling me I can  Anyone have any idea how to turn this irritant off ? ... How PayPal can stop all these scammers AKA "We lov...

Sadly like many here I have fallen prey to these scammers. Luckily less than £10 but it is the principle that stings especially when facing PayPal's automatic resolution policy that leaves no room for debate once that so called "tracking/delivery" has been provided by the seller.  So I have done some research and have one single step I believe PayPal can implement very easily to significantly reduce the amount of these scam companies they are allowing to use their site.  On the Scam website there is a very good chance there is an "About Us" page. It will contain the phrase "we love every passion and interest". If you google that phrase it returns about 223,000 results. For future reference if you are thinking of making a "good deal" purchase check the website for that phrase. If you find it ? BUYER BEWARE Or try the phrase "To help you Express Yourself. To support you at" followed by the domain name. If you google that phrase it returns about 723,000 results. Go have a go yourself and pick a few of the sites at random. Notice a theme ? Spot how many of the sites returned by google now no longer exist ?   I am also sure there must be something in their algorithms that can be done if a site is a few months old and processing hundreds or thousands of PayPal transactions with a lot of those said transactions resulting in complaints and disputes ?  I don't know if anyone from PayPal monitors these boards but you only have to look at the first few pages of this subject to see just how big a problem this has become.  Come on PayPal ... pay attention to just how bad your reputation is becoming because of this ... GCE UK Credit - Close Safety Net: closed first tou...

I cancelled a premium subscription in September. I had been paying for this via CC for about a year.  On 10th October the company took a subscription payment via PayPal (I had not used this as a payment method in over a year) I raised a dispute immediately and have so far had the following responses :-  1) Email within an hour of the dispute telling me it was closed due to not being able to obtain additional required information.  2) The dispute is still open online but saying I have until 25th Oct to provide this additional information.  I have not been told what this additional information is and in the resolution centre there is nowhere to provide anything or ask a question.  Today in the resolution centre I see the above "GCE UK Credit - Close Safety Net: closed first touch - no further action required" as being entered my me in the messages to seller. I have never seen this before and again nothing from PayPal as to what this may mean I have contacted the "seller" via email and via PayPal and had no response.  I seem to be no longer able to do anything via the resolution centre Anyone else encountered this Safety Net message and have any idea what it means ?  Thanks in advance ... I have finally received a full refund as the item has still not arrived.  Whilst the outcome is acceptable the weeks of absolutely no support from customer services as each "team" blamed the other was not acceptable. To just keep moving a resolution date without any explanation just serves to frustrate and anger the customer base.   ... View more

Resolution date is now 16th January. I can understand a Christmas backlog, I guess my frustration is the constant moving of dates and total lack of customer support or answers as neither the online chat or phone can/will assist. That and the refund of money just keeps skipping ahead in a seemingly never-ending cycle that has now been going on for almost a month despite their statement of this "usually taking 5 days" ... Filed a case on 16th December - 4 weeks after an item was ordered and 2 weeks after it should have been delivered.  Case moved to 2nd stage of "We are reviewing the information" on 19th December. It is "stuck" at this point. The estimated case resolution date keeps increasing by a couple of days at a time and is now at 14th Jan.  Seller has not responded to this or any contact.  Online chat do not deal with this as it was via PayPal Credit. Customer services do not deal with it and all updates will be via the resolution centre. There is no email address to try.  I seem to be in limbo with this open dispute that has an ever-increasing end date and no way to talk to anyone about why ?  Any ideas folks ?  PS. Item has still not arrived.  ... View more

I have entered my new mobile phone number but did not receive the confirmation text.   I waited for 15 mins and requested another one - Not received.    I am 200% sure the number entered is correct.    I have tried a few times now over a few days but nothing. Not one single text.  When I am trying to use PayPal I am being told it needs to send me a text to confirm this is me. But ti cannot as the number is unverified. But I cannot verify it as I am not getting the confirmation text ....... a vicious circle that is more than a littel annoying    Nay ideas ? help ?    Thanks ... View more

Well !!   I did indeed speak to them and was first told it was because of the "Auto pay" ... I explained it was not as I had to log into my paypal account and select the payment method    I was then told that apparently Ebay can "override" your selection and it may be that the sellers do not accept paypal credit and that is wy it was deducted from the bank    Basically they had no idea and I am now awaiting a response from the technical team    PayPal are adamant that it is not them and if it was an issue then I would not be the only one so it has to be Ebay   However there is no point talking to Ebay as they will not do anything no the money has been taken. Neither is there anything at all PayPal can do to switch the payment from bank to credit.     Like I said it is a hit on the bank that is inconvenient more than anything else but really not impressed with the "excuses" from customer service .... especially admitting that regardless of the payment method their customers select Ebay can happily override it and you are not notified of this    Now a waiting game for technical people to investigate ..... I am not holding my breath      ... View more
