PayPal dispute - return held in customs

Hello,   I need some help. A buyer from Canada opened a not as described dispute on PayPal. After communicating with the buyer, I found out that the buyer's sister opened the package first and damaged it and lost parts from it, so the buyer does not want it anymore. She insists, that she already found all the pieces and shipped them back to me.   The tracking number in PayPal dispute shows, that the item is in customs and I received a letter to pay a high customs fee, higher than the item's value. The buyer marked the return as goods and with high value.    What to do now? Will PayPal decide to refund the buyer even if it was not returned?   I already tried to call PayPal but they don't speak english very well and did not understand me. ... View more

A buyer is trying to scam me with a fake tracking ...

Hello,   a buyer opened a PayPal claim, which says that the item is not as described. The buyer's comments say that the item is not worth it's price and looks cheap. PayPal granted the dispute despite the comments indicate a buyer's remorse. The buyer is from Australia, I am from Europe.  Immediately after the case was decided into a return, the buyer provided a tracking number, which was supposed to be a proof of return the goods back to me. The tracking number shows delivery of a package in Australia, half a year before the buyer bought the item from me. The buyer is now clearly trying to scam me.   What can I do? ... View more

I did not fund it with a credit card. I received the payments from eBay buyers. They completely ignored the fact, that the tracking number does not show delivery to my address. I called there 6 times, all PayPal representatives said, that since the payment was paid by PayPal balance, a proof of shipment from the seller is enough and they do not require any proof of delivery. Hello,   I have always thought that there is a buyer protection on PayPal, now I see that it's all lies. I paid by PayPal for a 500€ expensive dress and for shipping with express delivery and tracking number. The tracking number says, that the package is in transit for 2 months already. It does not show, that it was delivered to my address. The dress was sent from Germany and it was supposed to arrive in August. I opened a claim, paypal closed it today in seller's favor. After I called to PayPal, I have been told that German sellers do not have to have any proof of delivery, just a tracking number showing, that the item was dispatched. Now I lost the 500€ and never received the dress. Seller is not responding. I paid by PayPal so I can't open a chargeback or get the payment back in any way ... View more

Thank you. What is online proof of delivery? Do you mean that I attach the pdf file into the case. Or does it have to be an online tracking showing delivered. Hello,   I sold an expensive item and shipped it by express delivery overseas. However, the tracking number is not working and does not show any results. I called to the shipping company and they told me that the item was delivered and gave me a PDF file with buyer's signature. Will it be enough to win an item not received dispute?   Thanks ... I called to 5 different PayPal representatives and all were very arrogant, rude and none of them helped me or waived the fee.   The transaction was showing, that it was eligible for seller protection during the chargeback. After the chargeback, it changed to Seller protection Not Eligible. And all of these PayPal representatives were telling me that the payment was not marked as eligible for seller protection. This is the reason why they did not dispute the chargeback.   I could have taken a screenshot at the time when it was marked as seller protection eligible. So I uploaded the tracking number and all evidence which I had to the case. And within minutes the chargeback was closed in buyer's favor.   There is no such thing as seller protection on PayPal I lost my item, I lost my payment, I lost 20$ chargeback fee.   PayPal is nothing else but a scam. Pure scam. They say, ship with a tracking number, you are covered.   I did not even have a chance to call them which the case was open because it's weekend and they only work during week   It is all lies. I am selling only low value items, I used to ship everything untracked but after I had several unauthorised transaction chargebacks, I listened to advice from PayPal that I should start sending everything with a tracking number. If I remember it properly, a few months ago the person who was deciding the chargeback told me that if I had a tracking number, I would not lose my money even if the buyer refused the delivery. ...
