I am afraid not familiar with Argos' refund policy but I would recommend reaching out again to see if they can give you an update on this. If they do not reply you can open a buyer complaint case in your resolution centre. This is how http://ow.ly/O7Xpj . I am sure it is not an intentional delay on their end and if you need to open a claim they will resolve it quickly with you.
