I have dealt with a fraudulent company aboundg.com and PayPal refunded the purchase. While I am happy with PayPal, what I don't want is to support scamming. If PayPal did not ding the Aboundg.com company, then Aboundg.com just got away with theft. Given this experience and no disappointment with PayPal (they refunded so fast it made my head snap), I would like to freeze my PayPal account like I would my AMEX, just for a peace of mind. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this... I even tried removing my credit card (as a way of prohibiting any kind of extra charges from Aboundg.com or their affiliate/accessory https://www.ems.post or others. It is difficult if not impossible to remove your credit card from PayPal. I have tried and get a PayPal error. I really don't want to close my PayPal account but it seems that is the only way to "freeze" it. Any hints or tips on how to "freeze" my PayPal account, much appreciated!

Similar problem. Attempting to communicate with the vendor and make a file part of the dispute record. Manufacturer said "return it, it won't work" and vendor wants to see this but cannot upload to the dispute. Paypal disputes are so much harder than just using AMEX... and when an AMEX issue occurs, BAM, they are on it. This dispute is going on for what seems forever and the feeling that going to be stuck with a product that was advertised to work in the US but manufacturer says it only works in China (camera). Hard to file dispute. Hard to provide supporting documents. Hard to work with vendor (AMEX does this instead of me). PayPal == Hard. 😞
