Cut the long story short, I sold a item back in the middle of August, I send it via the address on Paypal when i got the payment. it was sent recorded like all my stuff is, Not even a day later i got a message from ebay saying that it was fraud and I'm to contact local police of where the parcel was sent and also to contact my local police, and they are happy for the police to contact ebay on this, which then when phoning the police they passed me to Action Fraud, so phoned them and got a case number etc, Then Paypal put the money on hold asked me to send proof of posing which i did and also put my action fraud case number down. Then i got good news saying that I've got the money,,,,, Then about 6 days ago i had a email saying that the money was put on hold again saying that the bank of the guy got involved and that they wanted me to send Proof again, so i did and then spoke to CS at Paypal as i didnt understand why i had the money then it was put on hold, Lady on the phone said to me i should be ok... Well she got that wrong as I've just seen a email saying. "Unfortunately, we are unable to reimburse you for the bank reversal because the transaction was not covered under PayPal Seller Protection." This case is now closed. I take it then there is nothing i can do if they are saying I'm not covered under the seller's protection act. I'm very upset as I've lost out on my item as well as the money which was over £100. As well as Action Fraud contatcted me saying that there is not enough information to carry on with the case, i know this can be frustrating (Yeh too right it is) I'm not blaming the guy that had his card done, As it affected both of us. Top it off there is still no signature for the parcel but Action Fraud said that the postman might just post it through a letter box if it fits, to the house or if they are flats, that might be empty where no one living there and the Fraud guy might have a key to this place and go in and get it. Is there anything i can do?
