Hi All, In two earlier posts I was a bit angry with paypal about their refusal to return my money that I had paid to a spoofwebsite. https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Disputes-and-claims/Paying-to-a-spoof-website/m-p/625076#U625076 https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Disputes-and-claims/Paying-to-a-spoof-website-II-complaint/m-p/641066#U641066 That was because Paypal refused to accept my dispute and claim that I made via the resolution centre. (The claim was even closed without me having the change to submit more information, somehow the spoofer/ seller managed to escalate the dispute to a claim) I decided to transform it into a claim to paypal (via https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/helpscr?cmd=_contact-general choose topic: make a formal complained to paypal) First my complaint went missing. so i had to submit it again. But finally last week i got a nice email: ----------------------------------------------------- RE: HowtomakeaformalcomplainttoPayPal (ID: C826-L003-T18000-S111-W0000M0) (KMM43784627V10726L0KM) :ppEU webform @ paypal.co uk> Thu, May 9, 2013 at 3:45 PM To: Willemien (me) Dear Willemien xxxxx, Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding your donation for the amount of xxxx EUR. It feld like PayPal was supporting this kind of misuse sites by allowing the owner to use PayPal on them. It looked to me that PayPal didn't seem to mind about allowing spoof sites to use their services. If you have or had the same problem (donating via paypal to a spoof website) you may use the above to help you with your claim, because i still can not even find a way to inform paypal about the existence of spoof websites, and tI do think that paypal should try to prevent misuse of their services.
